Within 20 minutes drive you can reach top attractions such as Alton Towers, High Peak, Tissington and Monsal Trails, charming local villages with welcoming tea-rooms and restaurants, the Coombe Valley RSPB Reserve, the Churnet Valley Steam Railway, Peak Wildlife Park plus all the natural beauty of Ilam and Dovedale and the Roaches.
Among many easy day trips, you can choose between Buxton Spa, Bakewell, Matlock Bath, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, the pottery museums and factory shops, the Derwent Valley World Heritage mill sites. Other easily accessed pursuits include golf, riding and climbing and leisure centre sports. Alternatively how about boating, sailing or fishing at Carsington, Tittesworth or Rudyard Lake?.
