Croft House Barn is a very comfortable, spacious holiday cottage in the idyllic Peak District National Park, which can sleep up to 6 (plus cots) in three en-suite bedrooms, one on the ground floor. It is situated in the heart of the conservation area of Waterfall, nestling amongst rolling hills and set off by a distinctive landmark knoll of trees, Waterfall Low.

Once the barn to our attached, former farmhouse, Croft House Barn has been sympathetically renovated over recent years. To the front of the cottage lies the tiny village green, complete with original water pump, stocks and neighbouring cottages. The Red Lion Inn, serving home-cooked food, is a 200-yard stroll down the lane and in neighbouring Waterhouses you'll find Ye Olde Crown Inn, a cafe, post office and convenience store. The historic market towns of Ashbourne and Leek - both about 10 minutes away - are characterful, market towns, well worth exploring for their nooks and crannies, antiques and other specialist shops. You'll find they have a good choice of supermarkets too.
Croft House Barn is the perfect starting point for dipping into the magic of The Peak District National Park! From the cottage you can walk or cycle numerous footpaths, quiet country lanes, and the spectacular Manifold Valley Trail. Within 20 minutes drive you can reach top attractions such as Alton Towers, High Peak, Tissington and Monsal Trails, charming local villages with welcoming tea-rooms and restaurants, the Coombe Valley RSPB Reserve, the Churnet Valley Steam Railway, Blackbrook Zoological Park plus all the natural beauty of Ilam and Dovedale and the Roaches.
Among many easy day trips, you can choose between Buxton Spa, Bakewell, Matlock Bath, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, the pottery museums and factory shops, the Derwent Valley World Heritage mill sites. Other easily accessed pursuits include golf, riding and climbing and leisure centre sports. Alternatively how about boating, sailing or fishing at Carsington, Tittesworth or Rudyard Lake?.
